Our Story

It all started with canine heart disease.

Our 12-year-old miniature schnauzer, Chloe, was diagnosed with heart disease in October 2017. We took her to a canine cardiologist and then a holistic veterinarian who performed acupuncture on her monthly and also guided us on nutrition (something neither the cardiologist or her regular veterinarian ever mentioned).

She weighed 18 pounds and with the help of a raw dog food diet and watching portions, Chloe lost 4 pounds in one month and stayed at that healthy weight until we lost her in October 2020.

Chloe lived 2 years longer than her cardiologist predicted she would.

I completely changed the way I feed my dogs after the knowledge I gained throughout that journey. I still feed a raw diet and only give single-ingredient treats to my four schnauzers.

All 4 of our dogs are rescues: Stewie, a 13-year-old schnauzer/cocker spaniel mix; Fig, a 4-year-old 8-pound boss of the house; Clark, a 6-year-old schnauzer/poodle mix we foster failed; and the namesake of this small business, Piper, a 4-year-old jewel who is my true best friend.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting this small business. We truly believe in feeding single-ingredient treats to help your dogs stay as healthy as possible, for as long as possible.

Because once you know to feed better, there's no going back, right?
